News for Fridays
Hi Everyone:
Fridays is still going strong. Plan to join us this Friday evening, 4/7, in the Parish Hall for a meeting at 7 pm. Parents when you drop off please check with Mr. Geiger or Miss Leslie to see if drivers are needed for our trip to Duchess.
Talent Show Update:
The committee chairpersons meet last night to discuss the Talent show. All plans are coming together nicely and the show will be a big success!!! If you signed up to help and have not heard from your committee chairperson, please call Jayne Johnson for the production committee, Lynn DeAngelis for the food committee or Karen Nash for the publicity committee. We can still use help with the technical aspects of the show. If you can help with lights, sound, etc, please call Jayne, asap.
Please be aware that all acts must have a "parent coach"!! Their job is to be sure the act is being planned, rehearsed, costumes prepared and music is downloaded to a cd. It is important that the kids develop their acts on their own with the parent coach monitoring the progress. If you have any costume needs that you can't handle, Diane Dobosz has offered to help out. Please call Diane as soon as possible to ask for help. Don't wait until the last minute to get prepared for the show!!
The show will have 2 mandatory rehearsals. The rehearsal schedule in the Parish Hall is as follows, so mark your calendars: Technical Rehearsal, Sunday, April 23rd @ 5:00 pm, Pizza dinner will be provided, and Dress Rehearsal , Friday, April 28th @ 5:30. All parent coaches must must be present at these rehearsal to supervise their acts. There are roughly 20 acts performing, involving more than 30 performers and we will need all the parent supervision we can get to haves orderly rehearsal. Thanks for all your help in making this production a huge success.
Ticket sales are now underway! Tickets can be purchased after the Sunday services in the Narthex and at Coffee Hour, be sure to look for the table. Cost is $12 each or $40 for the family. You can also call Karen Nash or Laura Dwinells to make a reservations if you are away.
