...is making the rounds right now. Naturally, it is a well written review of the state of the Episcopal Church on the eve of our next general convention in June.

Tip O'Neill, the late Speaker of the House of Representatives, famously said, "All politics is local." Meaning, of course, that whatever is occurring on the national and international stages, most folks are more interested in whether or not the potholes on their street are being fixed.
By the same token, and based on my experience with a considerable number of parishes, all church politics is local as well. Our charge, as the members of St. Paul's, is to insure that our friends and neighbors, and the friends we have yet to meet, have a place to come and worship and find support on their pilgrimage. If we present a welcoming congregation, with more than enough to engage the people who grace our pews, then we will be doing God's work.
And with that, no one can take issue.
