Have you ever wondered what Jesus meant when he said…? Would you like to learn more about the stories in the old Testament and how they relate to us now? Would you like to know how the Church got where it is today? If so, we invite you to join EFM, or Education for Ministry. It is education for laity developed by the Episcopal seminary at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee [the largest Episcopal University in the United States -ed.]. We meet in small groups of 6 to 12 for a study, discussion, worship, and fellowship. Commitment is for four years, one year at a time. Covered in the course of study is the Old Testament, New Testament, Church History, and Theology. We have a few places open in our group which meets in Fairfield at St. Paul’s Church on Old Post Rd. on Tuesdays from 7 pm until 9:30. If you are interested, please contact the church office for the names and contact numbers of the coordinators.
